ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project looks at the shift in the influence of the super-rich from the collapse of the Soviet Union to contemporary Russia.

This blog consists of four posts created around the same central theme: the rise and fall of oligarchy in Russia. 

In the beginning, we look at the historical context and the trajectory of the super rich in Russia, followed by a discussion around the amount and scope that the super rich have on the decision process and policy making. Finally, a collection of cases have been selected in order to provide the reader with a clear picture of the evolution of the super rich in Russia

Further we created a separate section with links to the sources use and to a number of other useful sources for further research including the Global Encyclopaedia of Informality.
